Die Parlamentssitzung kann als grosser Erfolg bezeichnet werden. So wurde unter anderem die dringliche Motion zur Jugendarbeit in der Stadt Olten, welche ich im Namen der Fraktion SP Olten/Junge SP Region Olten eingereicht habe, für erheblich erklärt. Die Jugendarbeit ist ein Kernthema, welches die Junge SP Region Olten seit Jahren bearbeitet. Die Motion verlangt vom Stadtrat, dem Gemeindeparlament einen Terminplan für die Ausarbeitung der konzeptionellen-strategischen Grundlagen für die Offene Jugendarbeit in Olten vorzulegen. Der Terminplan soll die Eckpunkte einer tragfähigen Übergangslösung beinhalten. Für die Umsetzung des Konzepts und die Übergangslösung soll im Budget 2018 ein ausreichender Betrag aufgenommen werden.

“Gestern war Parlamentssitzung in Olten. Eine vollbepackte Traktandenliste führte dazu, dass die Sitzung 5.5h dauerte und sich bis 23:40 Uhr hinzog.
Die Junge SP Region Olten kann mit müden Augen auf eine erfolgreiche Session zurückschauen. Die Dringliche Motion betr. Jugendarbeit in Olten wurde mit 19:17 Stimmen für erheblich erklärt. Der Stadtrat wird somit verpflichtet, einen verbindlichen Terminplan zur Ausarbeitung eines nachhaltigen Konzepts für Jugendarbeit auszuarbeiten und zu präsentieren.
Die Junge SP Region Olten ist ausserdem erfreut, dass das Parlament der Volksinitiative „Kulturfachstelle in Olten“ zugestimmt hat. Es ist ein wichtiger Schritt vom lediglichen Loben des Oltner Kulturbetriebs, dessen Erfolg und Prestige zu grossem Teil Freiwilligenarbeit geschuldet ist, hin zu einer koordinierten und versierte Kulturförderung in Olten.
